The boys

Update from us:
Joseph is now walking (first steps at 10.5 mos, walking at 11.5mos), talking ("shoes" was his first word--he loves getting out of the house for walks--second word was "dada") and is just so much fun.  His birthday is this Sunday.

They love the train tracks.  I put connector pieces to attach the trains so Joseph couldn't take the tracks apart.  I highly recommend them (got them off Amazon).

Joseph LOVES the phone.  Not only does he try to have conversations, but he listens to music on the phone too.

When we get Andrew up from his nap I will often put Joseph so they can spend some quality brother bonding time.

Joseph is walking now.

Bathtime is quite the adventure around here.  Our bathtub is way too big so half of the time I have to get in with them to bathe them.  Plus they always want to stand up so I am always worried they will fall.

For Mike's birthday we made corn tortillas and fresh pico de gallo.

Andrew has never used the rolling pin before and he was quite enthralled.

When I said, "Andrew where is the beaver?" Andrew said "Beiber music!"  Requesting to listen to Justin Beiber.  The two words beaver and Bieber must sound identical to him.

Helen taught Linda, Ima, and I how to make Thosai (the famous Indian "pancake" that you dip in curry).

I have to say Thosai is so great because we are eating gluten free as a family (bc of Andrew) so it is an awesome dish where you don't even notice the lack of wheat!  The pancake is made out of special blended bean and rice flour.

Lastly, Andrew has been totally into building trains lately.  He likes to build them all across the floor.

Haircut for Andrew

Andrew got his first salon haircut ever at A Cut Above in Bangsar.  Joseph loved watching.

I have received many comments on this post asking for the AFTER photo of the hair cut.  Well I did not take one because as it turns out I hated the hair cut.  The cut looked so terrible I couldn't even bring myself to take a pic.  The bangs were too short, the sides were lopsided, etc.  Oh well.  At least Joseph had fun watching.

Slowly yet surely...moving in...

 Since we did not bring much furniture with us, we had to purchase stuff here. 

I found this great store Townhouse that is more my taste than the ultra-modern furniture stores that are EVERYWHERE here.  Townhouse sources all their furniture locally and is made in the same factory as some of Pottery Barns lines.

As you can see we still need a few things (a BED, etc.).   Also we need to paint the walls...
